Luke Leftwich
ASSISTANT VICE PROVOST FOR CAMPUS AUXILIARIES
As Assistant Vice Provost for Campus Auxiliaries, Luke oversees operational, fiscal, and strategic decision-making for auxiliary business units on the Indiana University Bloomington campus. These include Campus Bus Services, Campus Mail Services, Document Services, Early Learning Educational Services, Fleet Services, Housing Operations (custodial, interior design, and maintenance of the residence halls and dining courts), IU Dining & Hospitality (including the IU Hotel and Biddle Conference Center and IU Catering), the IU Surplus Store, IU Warehouse, Parking Operations, Publication Services, and Transportation Demand Management. He additionally oversees Campus Auxiliaries Marketing and Communications, a shared service that also supports the Office of Finance, Administration & Budget.
Luke’s role is to create operational efficiencies and seamless campus experiences that maximize every dollar stewarded by Campus Auxiliary units, sharing costs across units whenever possible. In all his work, Luke seeks to ensure a world-class experience for the Indiana University student body, faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors while also driving cost-effective value through a clear strategic vision, financial prudence, and data-driven decision-making.
Luke has nearly 20 years of experience in higher education. Prior to his current role, Luke directed the Kelley School of Business Undergraduate Program from 2012-2019 after a series of roles in the area. He moved to Residential Programs and Services, then Campus Auxiliaries, at the request of IU Provost.
